EHOME has released Song “Sccc” Chun from their roster, replacing him with Lai “Ahjit” Jay Son.

EHOME says goodbye to Sccc

After four months with the team, EHOME announced on weibo that they are releasing Sccc from his contract.

EHOME acquired Sccc two weeks after he left Team Aster last September. However, it seems like the TI-finalist didn't fit in well with his new team. If given the circumstances, Sccc can stay with one team and act as their franchise player for a long time, just like what he did in Newbee. As part of Newbee, Sccc played under just one banner for four years. However, he only lasted for four months with EHOME.

Sccc is well-known especially in the Chinese region for his intense farming skills, having one of the highest average gold per minute (GPM) per game in the world. In 2016, Sccc set a record for the highest GPM in a single professional game. He did this while playing the hero Alchemist, scoring 1285 GPM. But since Newbee lost against Team Liquid in The International (TI) 7 Grand Finals, it all went downhill from there.

With EHOME parting ways with Sccc, it's unknown where the midlaner/carry will go now. Newbee has recently received a lifetime ban from Valve. Without a home team, Sccc's future is shrouded in mystery.

EHOME welcomes Ahjit as their new carry

To find a replacement for Sccc, they didn't have to look far. They signed Ahjit, the former carry of LGD International. Ahjit, albeit lacking in awards and achievements in his career, is a young Malaysian player who is part of the 10,000 MMR club. Joining a team with a strong name is definitely a great idea for Ahjit. Aside from that, being exposed in the very competitive Chinese scene will further improve his skills.

EHOME will be competing in the DPC 2021: Season 1 – China Upper Division. They are one of the four direct invites, along with PSG.LGD, Vici Gaming, and the newly-formed “Superteam” Elephant.
