FromSoftware's newest Souls game, Elden Ring, finally has a release date. The highly-anticipated world created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin has also been revealed through an official trailer. The trailer played to close out Summer Game Fest 2021, leading to fans hyped for the game's release.

Summer Game Fest closed on a very high note. FromSoftware revealed the first trailer for the game since its announcement trailer in E3 2019. The three-minute trailer showed off the new world collaboratively created by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin. The game's world is more open and vast compared to past Souls games. Elden Ring shows the massiveness of the world by presenting the game's mount. The player is shown summoning a horse from out of nowhere, with the mount materializing under the character.

The trailer also showed off the various enemies and monsters that the player will face in the game. We see different kinds of undead, as well as a dragon that can wield lightning bolts and breathe fire. Elden Ring still features the same look and feel similar to past Souls games, with the grittiness and darkness of old. BANDAI Namco has put up a website for the game for future news, media, and announcements.

Elden Ring releases on January 21, 2021, on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
