Eric Bledsoe has been hearing his name more frequently lately in the news. That's after Cleveland Cavaliers point guard Kyrie Irving was rumored to be demanding a trade and that the Phoenix Suns could be an ideal partner for the reigning Eastern Conference champions.

In an interview with Scott Bordow of AZCentral.com, Bledsoe expressed his contentment staying in Phoenix but also said that he's intent on winning.

“I love everything about it. At the same time I want to win.”

Winning doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon for the Suns, who finished in the bottom of the Western Conference standings last season with a 24-58 record. Bledsoe is well aware of that and despite minimal moves the team has made this offseason, the 27-year-old point guard has no qualms giving his 100 percent regardless of the roster quality the Suns will have next season.

“We got Josh Jackson. James Jones (in the front office). But for the most part, I don’t care,” he said. “Whatever team we have at training I’m going to play my heart out for. I just control what I can control. Getting better every time I step onto the floor.”

The offseason is still young and Bledsoe could find himself looking for a new residence depending on what happens with all these trade talks surrounding him today. Bledsoe finished last season averaging career-highs of 21.1 points and 6.3 assists per game. He was limited to only 66 games, however, with the Suns' front office opting to shut him down for the remaining 14 games of the regular season.
