Erling Haaland is a hot commodity in world football right now, but only one club is willing to pay his enormous price tag. Champions League title-holders, Chelsea. While the Blues do believe they can sway Haaland to make his way to London, Borussia Dortmund has made it clear they don't expect their prized possession to be leaving anytime soon.

Via Fabrizio Romano, BVB sent a stern message to Chelsea on Erling Haaland's future with the Bundesliga giants:

While Haaland would cost north of 100 million pounds, the Blues are more than willing to fork out the cash. But, after Dortmund already lost Jadon Sancho to Manchester United, they do seem keen on keeping the Norwegian for one more season.

It does seem like it's only a matter of time until Erling Haaland moves onto a bigger club, though. He's currently one of the best young strikers on the globe after scoring over 40 goals across all competitions last term, including 27 in Bundesliga action.

Chelsea is looking to get a deal done this summer because, in a year's time, Haaland's fee would drop 68 million. That number would bring a huge amount of competition from fellow European giants for his signature.

You can't really blame Dortmund for having a desire to keep Erling Haaland. They're trying to stay competitive themselves after barely sneaking into Champions League football and without Haaland banging in goals, they don't really have another clinical finisher up top.

But for Chelsea, this is definitely a blow.
