San Antonio Spurs center Pau Gasol has surpassed teammate Tony Parker as EuroBasket's all-time leading scorer after dropping 20 points and snatching eight rebounds for Spain in an 87-64 win over Hungary on Thursday to become the second team to run the table.

The Spanish international has now scored a total 1,111 points in his career, seven more than his French counterpart, who retired from international competition after last year's Olympic games in Rio.

Spain has now won 11 straight EuroBasket games dating back to the group phase in 2015, asserting itself as one dominant behemoth of European basketball and the rightful No. 2-ranked team by FIBA rankings.

Today gives him yet another bragging right over his teammate Parker, who is now recovering from a quad injury that cut his postseason short in Game 2 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Houston Rockets.

Gasol attacked early and often against Hungary, shooting an efficient 6-of-12 from the floor, including 2-of-4 from long distance and 6-of-7 from the charity stripe. The 7-footer will now have the opportunity to add to his all-time high scoring tally on Sunday, Sept. 10, when Spain faces the loser of Latvia vs. Turkey.

At 37 years old, Gasol leads Spain in scoring with 16.8 points per game, shooting 53.7 percent from the floor and 79.8 percent from the free-throw line.
