Everton manager Rafa Benitez drops a truth bomb amid rumors of his possible return to Newcastle.

One of the issues rocking the Premier League would be Newcastle's takeover by Saudi Arabian ownership, valued at 300 million pounds ($409 million).

Individuals such as Jurgen Klopp and other executives around the league have been talking some smack regarding the latest financial move.

For Benitez, he shares his thoughts on the takeover and breaks his silence regarding the rumors surrounding him.

“I don’t want to talk too much about that but, just to clarify, it is not an issue,” Benítez said of the Newcastle takeover. “The people at Newcastle knew already that I was just thinking about staying here and I told our people that they didn’t have to worry about anything because I’m happy here, working as hard as I can here and I gave my word so that is it.

“I wish Newcastle United fans all the best because my relationship with them is good and I hope it is good for ever but I’m here, I’m happy and trying to do my best and I don’t like to talk about the other option because the reality is I will stay here.”

As Newcastle's former manager, Benitez further stresses his commitment to Everton, downplaying some talks of possible offers made.

“Not really, because I was very clear from the beginning that I give my word to Everton Football Club and I am happy here so I tried to do that, to keep my word and do my best here so no one was asking because they knew already.”

Today, Everton has had a blistering start under Benitez, placing at fifth in the Premier League table and holding a three-way tie with Man United and Man City.

Meanwhile, Newcastle is 19th on the table, but many fans expect a massive turnaround given the club's new ownership.
