Every known tattoo on Iman Shumpert’s body

Is it perhaps bad luck that Iman Shumpert has 13 tattoos all over his entire body? After all, he has faded in the NBA as a journeyman over the past few years playing for five different teams. Whether it’s purely coincidental or if bad luck has indeed struck him, Shumpert remains to have a plethora of interesting tattoos all over his body. Here, we take a deeper look into all 13 of them and try to dig through the different meanings behind each one.

1. ‘Respect, Arrows, and Jesus’ Tattoos

Shumpert’s has a tattoo of the word, “Respect” on his left forearm. Along with this, two arrows pointing towards opposite directions can be seen. Meanwhile, his right forearm contains a tattoo of Jesus Christ. These set of tattoos possibly signifies his religious views.

2. ‘Basketball, Dice and Stars’ Tattoos

Of course, Iman Shumpert has the stereotypical tattoo for any NBA player. In this case, he has the words “Just happen to love it” along with a large basketball inked on his right shoulder. Right below, his right upper arm also contains a tattoo of a pair of red dice showing the numbers five and two with stars in a flaming background.

3. ‘Likeness, Cash and Coins’ Tattoos

His left forearm contains the word “Likeness”. The upper side of his forearm, around his elbow and wrist, shows tattoos of coins and dollar bills as well.

Iman Shumpert also features some floral designs on his skin, his left hand has a small tattoo of a basketball, his right upper arm shows some a dice with a basketball and some wings, while his left shoulder also has the same star tattoos on a background of flames which complete all of his arm tattoos and binds them together.

His right bicep spells out the letter, “TNA”. Meanwhile, his left bicep has the word “TRUTH” written on it.

The inner portion of Iman Shumpert’s left forearm contains a tattoo of the portrait of the backside of a man’s head while looking at a basketball to signify his love for the game. The inner side of his elbow contains a tattoo of the portrait of a man kissing a child represents him and his daughter, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr.

7. ‘Paw, Floral design, and Tree’ Tattoos

Johnny Bravo can be seen on Iman Shumpert’s left arm as the cartoon character is one of his childhood favorites. He also has his upper arm covered in tattoo of floral design and a tree on his shoulder while his left arm also contains a tattoo of a heart with a spiraling vine in front of it. These tattoos represent Chicago’s green line which is the actually the city that he grew up in himself.

8. ‘Dream and Bill’ Tattoos

As seen on the outer part of his right arm below the elbow, Iman Shumpert has the word “Dream” inked in red. His left wrist also contains a tattoo of half of a hundred dollar bill.

9. ‘Jersey and Number’ Tattoos

While Iman Shumpert has multiple tattoos on his arms alone, he has quite a few on his chest as well. The middle part particularly has a tattoo of the number nine which represents his jersey number when he played for the Sacramento Kings. Underneath, the number 90 can be seen tattooed in bold which indicates the year of his birth, 1990.

Iman Shumpert inked a pair of different names on his chest with “Auntie Carolyn” on the upper portion, “Lynnie” on the right side, and he also has “I’m My Brother’s Keeper” in the middle.
