The Nets franchise has been around since 1967. They were originally called the New Jersey Americans of the ABA before becoming the New York Nets in 1968. The organization joined the NBA in 1976 and then became the New Jersey Nets in 1977. The 2012-13 season is when the franchise moved to Brooklyn and became the Brooklyn Nets.

For this piece, we'll be taking a look at every Nets trade deadline move ever since the franchise became an NBA squad during the 1976-77 campaign.

1976-77

The Nets traded John Williamson to the Indiana Pacers for Darnell Hillman and a 1977 first-round pick.

1977-78

The team sent Darnell Hillman to the Denver Nuggets for a 1979 second-round pick.

The Nets then traded that 1979 second-round pick, along with a 1982 second-round pick and a 1983 third-round pick, to the Philadelphia 76ers for Wilson Washington.

1978-79

The Nets dealt Eric Money and Al Skinner to the Philadelphia 76ers for Harvey Catchings, Ralph Simpson and cash.

1979-80

The Nets traded John Williamson and a 1981 second-round pick to the Washington Bullets for Roger Phegley.

New Jersey also sent Calvin Natt to the Portland Trail Blazers for Maurice Lucas, a 1980 first-round pick and a 1981 first-round pick.

The Nets finished their busy 1980 trade deadline by dealing Rich Kelley to the Phoenix Suns for a 1982 first-round pick and a 1983 second-round pick.

1982-83

New Jersey traded Sleepy Floyd and Mickey Johnson to the Golden State Warriors for Micheal Ray Richardson.

1989-90

The Nets dealt Joe Barry Carroll to the Denver Nuggets for Michael Cutright.

New Jersey also sent a 1991 second-round pick and a 1993 second-round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Chris Dudley.

1996-97

The Nets traded Shawn Bradley, Ed O'Bannon, Robert Pack and Khalid Reeves to the Dallas Mavericks for Sam Cassell, Chris Gatling, Jim Jackson, George McCloud and Eric Montross.

New Jersey also dealt George McCloud to the Los Angeles Lakers for Joe Kleine, a 1997 first-round pick and a future second-round pick.

1997-98

The Nets sent David Benoit, Yinka Dare, Kevin Edwards and a 1998 first-round pick to the Orlando Magic for Brian Evans and Rony Seikaly.

1998-99 lockout season

The Nets traded Brian Evans and a 1999 first-round pick to the Minnesota Timberwolves. New Jersey also sent Sam Cassell and Chris Gatling to the Milwaukee Bucks.

The Nets received Elliot Perry from the Bucks, and Chris Carr, Bill Curley and Stephon Marbury from the Timberwolves.

2004-05

The Nets traded a 2005 second-round pick and a 2007 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Clifford Robinson.

2005-06

New Jersey dealt Marc Jackson, Linton Johnson and cash to the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets for Boštjan Nachbar.

2007-08

The Nets sent Jason Collins to Memphis Grizzlies for Stromile Swift.

New Jersey also traded franchise icon Jason Kidd to the Dallas Mavericks for Maurice Ager, DeSagana Diop, Devin Harris, Trenton Hassell, Keith Van Horn, a 2008 first-round pick and a 2010 first-round pick.

2010-11

The Nets traded Derrick Favors, Devin Harris, cash, a 2011 first-round pick and a 2013 first-round pick to the Utah Jazz for Deron Williams.

New Jersey also sent Troy Murphy and a 2012 second-round pick to the Golden State Warriors for Dan Gadzuric and Brandan Wright.

2011-12 lockout season

The Nets dealt Mehmet Okur, Shawne Williams and a 2012 first-round pick (Damian Lillard was later selected) to the Portland Trail Blazers for Gerald Wallace.

2013-14

Brooklyn traded Reggie Evans and Jason Terry to the Sacramento Kings for Marcus Thornton.

2014-15

The Nets sent Kevin Garnett to the Minnesota Timberwolves for Thaddeus Young.

2016-17

Brooklyn traded Bojan Bogdanovic and Chris McCullough to the Washington Wizards for Andrew Nicholson, Marcus Thornton and a 2017 first-round pick.

The Nets also sent cash considerations to the Houston Rockets for K.J. McDaniels.

2017-18

The Nets dealt Tyler Zeller to the Milwaukee Bucks for Rashad Vaughn and a 2018 second-round pick.

Brooklyn then traded Rashad Vaughn to the New Orleans Pelicans for Dante Cunningham.

2018-19

Brooklyn dealt cash to the Toronto Raptors for Greg Monroe and a 2021 second-round pick.
