The franchise signed Vinny Del Negro as a free agent.

August 16, 1993

The Spurs signed Chris Childs as a free agent.

July 22, 1994

San Antonio signed Avery Johnson again, as an unrestricted free agent.

August 10, 1994

The franchise signed Hall of Famer Moses Malone as a free agent, but he only appeared in 17 games before retiring from the NBA.

December 26, 1994

The Spurs signed Doc Rivers as a free agent.

October 4, 1996

San Antonio signed Dominique Wilkins as a free agent. The NBA legend averaged 18.2 points in his lone campaign in The Alamo City.

July 31, 2001

The team signed Bruce Bowen as a free agent. The All-NBA defender won three titles with the franchise.

July 24, 2003

The Spurs signed Robert Horry as a free agent. Big Shot Bob won two rings in San Antonio.

September 2, 2005

The franchise signed Michael Finley away from the Dallas Mavericks. Finley won the 2007 title with the Spurs.

March 16, 2011

San Antonio signed Danny Green for the rest of the 2011-12 campaign. He wound up earning a lucrative NBA deal and won the 2014 championship with the Spurs.

July 9, 2015

The franchise lured LaMarcus Aldridge away from the Portland Trail Blazers. The All-Star is averaging 19.8 points and 8.2 rebounds since joining the Spurs.

July 14, 2016

San Antonio signed future Hall of Famer Pau Gasol to a multi-year contract.
