The Phoenix Suns' first NBA season was back in 1968. The franchise has compiled an overall record of 2,212-1,987 since its inaugural campaign and appeared in the playoffs 29 times.

Unfortunately, the Suns haven't had much success in the past decade. In fact, they haven't made the playoffs since 2010. However, that doesn't mean they did not try to improve their roster over the years.

For this piece, we take a look at every trade deadline move the Suns have made since 1968.

1971-72 

The Suns traded Paul Silas and cash to the Boston Celtics for Charlie Scott. Silas agreed to terms with Boston in September of 1972 to complete the trade.

1975-76

Phoenix sent John Shumate to the Buffalo Braves for Gar Heard and a 1976 second-round pick.

1976-77

The Suns traded a 1979 second-round pick to the Seattle SuperSonics for Bayard Forrest.

1979-80

The Suns sent a 1982 first-round pick and a 1983 second-round pick to the New Jersey Nets for Rich Kelley.

1982-83

Phoenix dealt Jeff Cook, a 1983 first-round pick and a 1983 third-round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for James Edwards and a 1983 first-round pick.

1987-88

The Suns traded James Edwards to the Detroit Pistons for Ron Moore and a 1991 second-round pick.

Phoenix also sent Larry Nance, Mike Sanders and a 1988 first-round pick to the Cleveland Cavaliers for Tyrone Corbin, Kevin Johnson, Mark West, a 1988 first-round pick, a 1988 second-round pick and a 1989 second-round pick.

The Suns finished their busy 1988 trade deadline by trading Jay Humphries to the Milwaukee Bucks for Craig Hodges and a 1988 second-round pick.

1995-96

Phoenix traded Tony Smith to the Miami Heat for Terrence Rencher.

1997-98

The Suns sent Cedric Ceballos to the Dallas Mavericks for Dennis Scott.

2001-02

Phoenix dealt Tony Delk and Rodney Rogers to the Boston Celtics for Randy Brown, Joe Johnson, Milt Palacio and a 2002 first-round pick.

2003-04

The Suns traded Tom Gugliotta, a 2004 first-round pick, a 2005 second-round pick and a 2010 first-round pick to the Utah Jazz for Keon Clark and Ben Handlogten.

2004-05

Phoenix sent a 2007 second-round pick to the Boston Celtics for Walter McCarty.

2007-08

The Suns traded Marcus Banks and Shawn Marion to the Miami Heat for Shaquille O'Neal.

2010-11

Phoenix dealt Goran Dragic and a 2011 first-round pick to the Houston Rockets for Aaron Brooks.

2012-13

The Suns sent Sebastian Telfair to the Toronto Raptors for Hamed Haddadi and a 2014 second-round pick.

Phoenix also traded a 2013 second-round pick to the Houston Rockets for Marcus Morris.

2014-15

The Suns traded Goran Dragic and Zoran Dragic to the Miami Heat for Danny Granger, a 2017 first-round pick and a 2021 first-round pick.

Phoenix also sent Tyler Ennis and Miles Plumlee to the Milwaukee Bucks for Brandon Knight and Kendall Marshall.

The Suns capped off their 2015 trade deadline frenzy by trading Isaiah Thomas to the Boston Celtics for Marcus Thornton and a 2016 first-round pick.

2015-16

The Suns dealt Markieff Morris to the Washington Wizards for DeJuan Blair, Kris Humphries and a 2016 first-round pick.

2016-17

Phoenix traded P.J. Tucker to the Toronto Raptors for Jared Sullinger, a 2017 second-round pick and a 2018 second-round pick.

The Suns also sent a 2017 second-round pick to the Atlanta Hawks for Cenk Akyol, Mike Scott and cash considerations.

2017-18

Phoenix dealt a 2018 second-round pick to the Orlando Magic for Elfrid Payton.

2018-19

The Suns traded Ryan Anderson to the Miami Heat for Wayne Ellington, Tyler Johnson and cash.
