Fortnite Chapter 3 is officially here. Aside from the island flipping upsidedown, Fortnite is also receiving a lot of changes and new mechanics. Here’s everything you need to know about Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1.
Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 Battle Pass
Epic Games is making sure that Chapter 3’s introduction will be nothing but grand. This season’s battle pass is definitely nothing short of amazing. A couple of big names and some interesting new characters come with the battle pass. Here’s a full list of skins that players can unlock this season in the battle pass:

- Ronin (Azure)
- Ronin (Vest)
- Ronin (Cape)
- Ronin (Helmet)

This season also marks the debut of Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in Fortnite as The Foundation. As of right now, The Foundation’s section is still locked. As of today, The Foundation’s list of unlockable rewards will be available in 59 days. Meaning to say, more or less everyone who owns the battle will be able to play as The Rock by February 3, 2022.
There’s also another section of rewards dedicated to Haven which unlocks on February 3, 2021, as well. “Haven Masks” is the section’s name and we’re guessing based on the name, it’ll be a variety of masks to unlock for Haven.
As usual, there’s also a section of bonus rewards that players can unlock after finishing the battle pass. Here’s a list of skins that we know of from the bonus reward section:

We aren’t sure about what else is to come in the bonus rewards section. Pages 3-5 will be available by December 16, 2021.
New Island
Ever since Chapter 1, we’ve seen Fortnite’s constant changes in the battle royale island. The Battle Royale Island has constantly been experiencing the birth of new POIs and sudden changes in POIs. What’s more wicked about these changes is the fact that Fortnite’s first island transitioned into an entirely new island. This chapter won’t be so different. In Chapter 1 we were at Athena island, then in Chapter 2, we transitioned into Apollo island. Now we welcome everyone to the new island for Chapter 3 called Artemis island. Here’s a full list of POIs in Artemis island:

New Gameplay Mechanics
If you think Fornite’s island flipping was already wild, well things are about to become more insane. For a while now, everyone has become accustomed to traditional Fortnite gameplay. Now Epic Games has finally decided to add “Sliding” into Fortnite’s core gameplay mechanics. I guess we can finally say that Fortnite is a true shooter game.
Another interesting addition to the game is the revamped physics when chopping down wood. Trees can now fall down after a player gathers materials from them. Back then trees would just disappear into the unknown once you’ve collected all the resources. Now players can actually use this brand new mechanic to their advantage. Falling trees can cause damage among players on the receiving end. Also, if a tree falls on another tree, players could create a domino effect. It’s a pretty cool new feature for Fortnite. This somehow adds a bit more realism to the game.
Lastly, we have the all-new portable tents. It’s basically a portable vault wherein players can stash their loot and save them for certain situations. The portable tent can also serve as a resting area for players. As long as a player has the portable tent in their inventory, they can switch weapons anytime as they please.

Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 1 is definitely the dawn of a new era in the game. Things are more complicated in the storyline, Apollo island flipped into Artemis island, and now new gameplay mechanics. This excites us all because at least Epic Games is making sure that they keep Fortnite fresh and evolving.
