Fans may have already found Hideo Kojima's cameo in Cyberpunk 2077, but not everyone's seen the latest Cyberpunk 2077 x Death Stranding Collab.

WHAT'S IN THE CYBERPUNK 2077 X DEATH STRANDING COLLAB?

Death Stranding was released on the PlayStation 4 late 2019, and was released for PC last July. The game's been out for a while, so it makes sense that Kojima Productions is trying to stir attention back to the game.

Meanwhile, Cyberpunk 2077 was this year's most-anticipated game. It's been in the oven longer than Death Stranding, having been announced over eight years ago. Both games are big names in the video game industry, and it's easy to imagine that the two games have a lot of overlapping fans.

Therefore, it's easy to see why Kojima Productions and CD Projekt Red decided to do this Cyberpunk 2077 x Death Stranding Collab. But what's exactly in this collaboration?

It features new missions featuring characters from CD Projekt Red's games, a reverse trike that looks similar to Jackie's in Cyberpunk, and a couple of fashion items that lets Sam Porter Bridges cosplay as Johnny Silverhand. Apart from the cosmetic features, the update will also introduce a new hacking function, which Sam can use against enemy machines, much like in Cyberpunk.

The collaboration is out now, and owners of the game can access the extra content immediately. Players can enjoy the collaboration for free, as a free update rolls out the collaboration. To get the items in-game, you will have to complete some of the collab-related missions.

However, the Cyberpunk 2077 x Death Stranding Collab is exclusive to the PC version of the game. There's no news whether or not these features will appear ever in the console version, but it's not very likely. Previous events and collaborations for Death Stranding only appeared in the PC version as well.

If you still don't have Death Stranding on PC, it's on sale right now on Steam. Discounted at 50% off, the cheapest it's ever been on Steam.
