Back in 2012, the Charlotte Bobcats took a chance at a defensive specialist who was once considered one of the top high school prospects in the nation, by selecting Michael Kidd-Gilchrist with the second overall pick.

Though he has not lived up to the expectations set on him yet, he has continued to develop his game to become a better player overall.

Not known as a shooter at the start of his career, the 23-year-old small forward has changed his shooting form over the years to be more accurate from the field. And just recently, a video surfaced showing his awkward yet effective style.

But before it was this way, he used to shoot in a much normal form. David Astramskas of ballislife.com showed comparative pictures of the evolution of his shooting form.

Last season, the Kentucky product only appeared in seven games for the Charlotte Hornets after being forced to sit out the remainder of the season due to a right shoulder injury.

Almost a year after surgery, he looks to contribute once again to his team and stay healthy throughout the season. With his awkward looking shot appearing to be a more effective style for him, who knows, he could eventually become a knockdown shooter.

With Kidd-Gilchrist back to their fold, the Hornets will also have more options at the wing spot and will make it possible for them to play multiple combinations as the season progresses.
