The official Formula One racing simulation game F1 2021 will be coming out this month, and Codemasters did a great job in advancing the series in the right direction this year.

F1 2021 Release Date: July 16, 2021

F1 2021 returns this month with the most realistic-looking graphics yet and one of the best driving simulation experiences in gaming today. F1 2021 comes out on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on July 16, 2021. Just in time for British Grand Prix weekend! The F1 2021 Deluxe Edition comes out three days earlier on July 13, 2021.

Codemasters didn't just rehash the old F1 games and improved the graphics without changing things up a little. They made sure that the game will be worth buying even for players who already have previous games in the series. Motorsport‘s Luke Smith praised Codemasters for adding the Braking Point story mode to the game, saying: “… Story mode makes F1 2021 Codemasters’ best game yet.”

F1 2021 will also allow two players to play alongside each other in career mode for the first time. Sadly, the game doesn't support local or couch-coop. Both current and retired legend drivers can be selectable in My Team mode. Fans worried about the EA takeover affecting the game's fun factor with the introduction of microtransactions and loot boxes will look closely at how My Team mode will develop forward. Hopefully, EA's acquisition of Codemasters won't introduce predatory microtransaction practices to this game and beyond. Hopefully, EA's involvement will be for the better.

Additional tracks and locations will come at later dates to supplement F1 2021‘s already bustling 21 tracks at launch. These downloadable content will be available free of charge for all owners of the game.
