F1 star Lewis Hamilton drops a brutal truth bomb about racing in Saudi Arabia, citing the country's laws directed at the LGBT+ community.

Out of all the drivers on the grid, Hamilton can be considered the most vocal and active in fighting for social justice, particularly the Black Lives Matter campaign and LGBTQ+ rights. Given Saudi Arabia's laws and Hamilton's views regarding the LGBTQ+ community, he doesn't seem too thrilled about racing in the country.

“Do I feel comfortable here? I wouldn’t say I do,” “But it’s not my choice to be here, the sport has taken the choice to be here.”

“Whilst we are here it’s important we do try to raise awareness,” he said. “In the last race you saw the [rainbow] helmet that I wore. I will wear that again here and in the next race [in Abu Dhabi] because it is an issue. If anyone wants to take time to read what the law is for the LGBT+ community, it is pretty terrifying. There are changes that need to be made,” the F1 champion stressed.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen is holding on to a slim 8-point lead over Hamilton with just two races to go. While his F1 team, Mercedes, is only leading by 5 points in the constructor's championship. Hopefully, Hamilton's feelings toward the race venue will not bother his desire to win.
