Toto Wolff makes a shocking gesture to his F1 rival, Christian Horner, ahead of an intense final race in Abu Dhabi.

It's been quite the roller-coaster season for Mercedes and Red Bull, as Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have been at it from the jump, trying to secure this year's title. On that note, both team principals have had an intense battle on their own, with Mercedes boasting a slightly significant advantage at the constructor's title.

Although this season produced various shocking events in F1, a recent press conference might trump everything else.

“Good luck,” Wolff said while reaching over to shake Horner’s hand when asked what he’d like to say to the Brit ahead of the deciding race.

“May the best man and the best team win.”

Horner echoes his rival's sentiments, stressing the significance of the rivalry's future in F1.

“Exactly. Exactly that,” Horner responded to Wolff.

“It’s been an intense competition, it’s been intense between the two of us, it’ll be intense next year and the year after.

“But, you know, we’ve got two great teams. We’re separated by about 15 miles back in the UK and I think the commitment that has gone in has been phenomenal.

With Verstappen and Hamilton tied in points, Mercedes has a 28-point lead over Red Bull, as Horner admits that his team requires a ‘miracle' to overcome this deficit in one race. Whatever the result may be, F1 fans will surely agree that this has been one of the most entertaining seasons in F1 history.
