It took a while, but tight end Kyle Pitts had his long-awaited first standout performance of the season during the Atlanta Falcons' Week 5 win over the New York Jets.

Pitts had his way against the Jets over the course of the contest. The former Florida Gators star was targeted 10 times by quarterback Matt Ryan and came away with nine receptions for 119 receiving yards and one receiving touchdown.

The highlight play of the day for Pitts was the astounding one-handed catch that surely left those in attendance at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in awe.

More so, the 2-yard receiving touchdown from Pitts during the opening quarter was the first such catch of his career.

After the 27-20 win for Atlanta, Ryan congratulated the rookie tight end on his first receiving touchdown in the league.

Atlanta had one promising offensive performance against the Jets. From the nine third downs converted to the 450 total yards recorded, it was a showing that was much expected out of an offense filled with keen playmakers.

It will be noteworthy to see on whether this offensive outing from the Falcons may be a season-changing one for them. For now, they will look ahead to having three of their next four games on the road, including the Week 7 matchup with the Miami Dolphins.
