On Saturday, the Oklahoma Sooners were able to defeat the Baylor Bears in shocking fashion. Following the game, the Atlanta Falcons' official Twitter account tweeted a ā€˜facepalm' emoji after Oklahoma came back from a 28-3 deficit.

With the victory, Oklahoma rallied to complete the largest comeback in school history. Baylor held a 28-3 lead in the second quarter, which sounds eerily familiar for fans of the Falcons.

Of course, back in 2017, the Falcons faced the New England Patriots in Super Bowl 51. To begin the game, Atlanta's No. 1 ranked offense jumped out to a 28-3 lead early in the third quarter,

The game seemed to be in hand for the Falcons and players were beginning to get the feeling that they were going to be Super Bowl champions. Unfortunately, Tom Brady was on the other side of the field and a game is never over until the final whistle sounds.

The comeback began following a strip-sack from Dont'a Hightower on Matt Ryan. From that moment on, the momentum gradually shifted in the direction of New England.

In the fourth quarter, Brady and the offense were able to score 19 points on Atlanta's defense to tie the game in regulation. At the same time, Atlanta's high flying offense managed to score just seven points in the second half.

After scoring the game-tying touchdown, James White would give New England their fifth Super Bowl win in franchise history.

On the other hand, the Falcons suffered the most heartbreaking loss in Super Bowl history. If there's anything we learned on Saturday, it is that a 28-3 lead in football is absolutely cursed for eternity.
