The Atlanta Falcons are far from the perfect NFL team, and their 1-7 record has seemingly set the team for another run at the draft. While it's been a disappointing year for the Falcons, the team won't be making as sudden of a decision as firing head coach Dan Quinn in their bye week.

Mike Garafolo reported the team's decision to not fire anyone during his Mike Drop segment at Good Morning Football:

It's important to note that Garafolo brought up the team's previous head coaching debacle with Mike Smith. It was a total mess of a breakup as team owner Arthur Blank didn't wait for his contract to be terminated as they immediately hired a firm to help search for the perfect candidate for them.

Moreover, it's been revealed that GM Thomas Dimitroff is also on the chopping block for the Falcons. The way the team collapsed after nearly winning a Super Bowl several years ago must have stung for Blank.

”It's very painful,” Blank said, via Yahoo! Sports. ”I understand that. I've always been here. I'm going to be in my seat. Hopefully, the great majority of our fans will as well. I think they understand our ownership has been committed for almost 20 years now in doing the right things for the franchise. I look at our record over that period of time compared to the prior 36 years, and it's extraordinarily good.”

It's very likely that Quinn will be shown out the door before the season is over. However, credit must be given to the Falcons ownership for handling this potential divorce a lot better than last time.
