Although the Atlanta Falcons' season came to an end in Week 18, they aren't afraid to recognize their players' achievements. On Wednesday, the Falcons tweeted a highlight reel of Cordarrelle Patterson's high-quality performances this season.

Of course, the running back had to reply with a close-up of his newest cleats, which are a clear message to Arthur Blank, the owner of the Falcons.

Patterson had the cleats made by Falcons' custom cleat designer Curtis Dre for their season finale. Dre posted another photo of the cleats, including a view of the right cleat, which says “Why not retire in Atlanta?” In the tweet, the artist confirmed that the cleats are “an attempt to get him resigned so he can retire as a Falcon.”

When he replied to his own highlight reel, Patterson included three “shouting” emojis and a photo of his left cleat. The left cleat depicts a popular meme going around the internet right now of two men on a train, one happily looking out the window at the scenery and another sad sitting on the opposite side. In Dre's depiction, the sad man has a thought bubble that says “Cut the check Mr Blank,” a hilarious way to catch the owner's attention.

Patterson isn't the only one who wants to remain a member of the Falcons next season. Quarterback Matt Ryan recently spoke for the entire team saying that he wants to play alongside Patterson again next season. Mr. Blank, it's your move.
