Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has been nursing a foot injury, so he has not been participating in the early stages of training camp as a result.

On Wednesday, Falcons head coach Dan Quinn provided an update n Jones, saying that the wide out is 10 days to two weeks away from being able to fully participate in practice, according to D. Orlando Ledbetter of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution.

Jones is also seeking a new contract, as the star has just two years remaining on his deal and is scheduled to make $9.6 million this year and $11.4 million in 2020.

The 30-year-old is coming off of a 2018 campaign in which he led the league with 1,677 receiving yards and hauled in 113 receptions to go along with eight touchdowns en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

Jones, who played his collegiate football at the University of Alabama, was originally selected by Atlanta with the sixth overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

It didn't take the Foley, Al. native long to stamp his name among the best receivers in the NFL, as he made the Pro Bowl in his second season after catching 79 passes for 1,198 yards and 10 scores.

Overall, Jones has made six Pro Bowls thus far in his NFL career, including a couple of First-Team All-Pro selections. In 2015, he led the league in both catches (136) and receiving yards (1,871) in what was one of the most impressive seasons for a wide receiver ever.

The Falcons won seven games in 2018, missing the playoffs for the first time since 2015.
