Despite a recent resurgence from his team, Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn definitely remains on the hot seat. Even with Atlanta winning back-to-back games against divisional foes — the New Orleans Saints and Carolina Panthers, respectively — Quinn's 3-7 Falcons remain well outside the current postseason picture in the NFC.

Quinn has now publicly stated that no bar has been set for his return to the sideline in Atlanta for next season.

“No. We talk weekly about the team, about where we’re at,” Quinn recently said, via Vaughn McClure of ESPN. “Our conversations we talk about the team a lot. We’ve never gone further than that.”

After blowing a massive lead against the heralded New England Patriots a few years back, a lead that has since gone down in infamy, the Falcons have done very little under the direction of Quinn. Not only that, but the Falcons cannot seem to remain consistent throughout a regular season — let alone a postseason — as the NFC South division is often one of the most competitive and dangerous in the entire NFL. Even the 3-7 Tampa Bay Buccaneers can cause teams some trouble alongside the aforementioned tandem of Saints and Panthers.

Prior to defeating the Saints and Panthers in consecutive weeks over the course of the Week 10 and Week 11 slates, the Falcons had won just a single game en route to starting out the year at a dismal 1-7. The team's only other win on the year came against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2.
