Atlanta Falcons linebacker Deion Jones is one of the most promising players at his age and position. Former Chicago Bears star linebacker Brian Urlacher has noticed Jones' skill set and recently called him a “star” and a “bad m—–f—–.” Jones recently spoke with Urlacher about the praise he gave him.

“I reached out to him, and we just kind of exchanged numbers and got to talking a little bit,” Jones said. “Just growing up watching him play, it was kind of dope what he said. … I just thanked him for what he said. It meant a lot coming from him.”

Urlacher said that Jones is the fastest at his position and can cover any player in the league. Coming from a Hall of Fame linebacker, it has to mean a lot for Jones.

The Falcons' linebacker is, in fact, one of the league's best at his position and only has a few seasons under his belt. Jones' potential is there without a doubt and the former second round pick will look to have another full season in 2019.

Unfortunately, Jones suffered a near season-ending injury with a foot injury in early November of 2018. Jones played in six games, but was still able to accumulate 53 tackles, six passes defended, two interceptions, and one forced fumble. Jones is without a doubt the most talented player on the defensive side of the ball for the Falcons.

If they want to return to the postseason, they need to remain healthy going forward.
