The Atlanta Falcons will be at full force for Saturday's wild card matchup against the Los Angeles Rams, as Pro Bowl running back Devonta Freeman has been cleared to play, per Vaughn McClure of ESPN.

Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman is cleared to go for Saturday's wild-card matchup against the Los Angeles Rams after being held back this week by a knee injury.

Freeman was limited earlier this week by a knee injury that kept him out of Tuesday's practice. He was able to take the field on a limited basis on Wednesday, leading to head coach Dan Quinn voicing that he was encouraged by the 25-year-old's participation in drills and workouts.

The presence of Freeman will likely be a huge factor in the running game against the Rams, who finished 28th in the league in rush defense after giving up 4.7 yards per carry. The Falcons may also look to feature him as a receiver out of the backfield to offset the pressure generated by Los Angeles' pass rush, which finished fourth with 48 sacks.

In 14 games played in the regular season, Freeman failed to reach 1,000 rushing yards for the first time since his rookie campaign, recording 865 yards with seven touchdowns. He also hauled in 36 catches on 46 targets for 317 receiving yards and a touchdown.
