The Atlanta Falcons completed what probably was the biggest upset of Week 10 after dismantling the New Orleans Saints. It was a masterful showing by the Falcons as they found the perfect counters to whatever the Saints threw their way. However, they may have to play the following weeks without running back Devonta Freeman.

The Pro Bowl running back sustained an injury to his foot during the Falcons' victory and was limited to only 10 carries before coming off the field. Ian Rapoport reported that the 27-year-old's injury seems serious enough that it warranted an MRI check.

Freeman has had a disappointing season so far, and this injury will only hold him back from playing at full strength. He's only notched 371 rushing yards in his nine games this season. He also doesn't have any touchdowns to show for his efforts.

However, his low rushing numbers cannot be blamed directly on his shoulders. An important note to consider is that the Atlanta system has been geared towards the passing game more this season. He's still a terrific running back if he is situated in the right system.

Unfortunately for him, the Falcons offensive line has been subpar for much of the season. It's due to the poor blocks that the team is forced to chock the ball up in the air instead of grinding it out on the ground.

Falcons fans will be hoping that the injury is not anything serious. The last thing they need is injuries to key positions that will stop their momentum.
