Veteran defensive tackle Terrell McClain is set to make the fourth stop on his current free-agent tour as he goes to Atlanta to meet with the Falcons on Friday, per ESPN’s Vaugh McClure.

McClain just concluded his visit with the Dallas Cowboys, whom he played for from 2014-16. He has already made visits to the Miami Dolphins and San Francisco 49ers after he was released by the Washington Redskins.

According to McClure, the Falcons are “very interested” in signing McClain since he’s a 3-technique who would fit their 4-3 defensive system. Atlanta GM Thomas Dimitroff recently said that the team is still looking for defensive line help in free agency after the departures of Dontari Poe and Adrian Clayborn earlier in the offseason.

McClain could be an interesting partner for nose tackle Grady Jarrett, who has emerged as the Falcons’ stalwart on the interior of their D-line. But even if he doesn't start, he could still provide some much-needed depth for the Falcons at that position.

The 29-year-old McClain played 12 games for the Redskins last season after landing a big free-agent contract. However, he did not make much of an impact in Washington as he made just two starts, with two sacks and 20 total tackles, and was released just one year into a four-year deal.

McClain had a breakout 2016 season for the Cowboys, where he made 15 starts and recorded 2.5 sacks with 39 tackles. Given the interest he's garnered in free agency thus far, it appears teams are still confident McClain can provide that type of production as opposed to his lone year in D.C.
