The Atlanta Falcons have finally gotten some good news as they announced that running back Cordarrelle Patterson, who was listed as questionable for Sunday's contest, is active against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Falcons are having a difficult year as they are arguably one of the worst teams in the NFL. Getting Patterson back certainly won't solve all of Atlanta's issues, but it could give them a boost over the Jaguars on Sunday.

Patterson isn't having a great year for the Falcons as he only has 303 yards for two touchdowns. He could be a good option to start if there are no other options on your fantasy football team.

Atlanta is coming into this one at 4-6 on the year. A win would only put them out one game of below .500. For how bad that they have played this season, that would be a positive for the organization. They're coming into this one on a two-game losing streak including a 43-3 blowout loss to the Dallas Cowboys and a 25-0 loss to the New England Patriots.

Atlanta's playoff chances are about as good as gone as they have to deal with Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFC South. If they want to get back to being a competitive team, they're going to have to make some significant moves this offseason. As for now, Cordarrelle Patterson is active and will play for them on Sunday against the Jaguars.
