Through his first seven years of his NFL career, Pro Bowl Julio Jones has been a cornerstone part of the Atlanta Falcons offense as one of the top players in the league.

There have been no questions concerning his standing with the franchise given his elite level of production and dependability up to this point in his career. However, Jones has made the curious move of making his Twitter account private and has unfollowed all of his Falcons' teammates.

Julio Jones Twitter

It has immediately brought forth questions regarding his future with the franchise with a trade being a reasonable assumption given his actions on social media. There has yet to be any chatter concerning any trade talk surrounding Jones being possibly on the move.

The 29-year-old is currently in the third year of his five-year, $71.2 million deal that has roughly $39.2 million remaining on the deal. Jones is coming off another highly productive campaign where he finished with on 88 receptions for 1,444 receiving yards, which marked the fifth time in his career that he has posted at least 1,000 receiving yards. He had also joined Roddy White (six) as the only players in team history to have at least five seasons with at least 1,000 receiving yards.

Jones has also surpassed Terance Mathis for second-most career receptions (573) in Falcons history only trailing White for the all-time team mark (808). All of this would make a trade quite puzzling given that he in the prime of his career and still has several highly productive seasons ahead of him.

If anything, what this could simply be is that he is shutting off social media to focus more directly on preparing himself for the upcoming season. With the draft just a few days away, there could be more clarity on this front if there is anything to Jones' actions over social media.
