The achievements Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones has managed to rack up throughout his nine seasons in the NFL are nothing short of incredible.

The latest example of Jones' excellence came on his birthday. According to ESPN's Field Yates, the 12,125 career receiving yards he racked up before turning 31 years old trails only Randy Moss when compared to every player in NFL history.

Something that makes Jones' achievement all the more impressive is that he appeared in only five games during the 2013 season. Had he not suffered a season-ending foot injury, it seems quite plausible that he would have surpassed Moss for the most career receiving yards before turning 31-years-old.

There were a few seasons by Jones, in particular, that stand out as truly incredible. He managed to rack up 136 receptions, 1,871 yards, and eight touchdowns in 2015 and led the league in both catches and receiving yards. He came within striking distance of Calvin Johnson's single-season receiving yards record (1,964) but came up shy.

Jones is coming off a season that ended with 99 receptions, 1,394 yards, and six touchdowns. The standard he has set for himself is impressive considering how that was the lowest single-season total for yards since 2013. The fact that it wasn't one of his top seasons is a true testament to the lofty standard he has set for himself.

It will be interesting to see the results Jones achieves in the 2020 season. The Falcons ended their 2019 campaign riding a four-game winning streak and will look to build off that going forward. Their star receiver will be pivotal on those efforts.
