For the Atlanta Falcons (9-6) and their playoff chances, the circumstances to make the postseason couldn't be more clear for them: win at home against the Carolina Panthers this weekend, and they're in for the second year in a row.

According to a video posted by Falcons beat writer D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Jones opened up about his health heading into Sunday's game.

“It’s great,” Jones said on Thursday. “Can’t you tell? It’s good. I’ll be ready to go.”

Jones continues to deal with thumb and ankle injuries this season. He went on to say that his mental toughness is much more important than physical reps in practice this week.

Via an article written by Matt Winkeljohn of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution:

“As far as practice, I get those mental reps. I don’t have to physically be out there,” Jones said. “It’s just a mindset and a mentality. I’ve been dealing with injuries my whole life, so it takes a different type of guy to go out there and play injured and know something’s wrong. I’m good. I’ll be ready to go.”

In 15 games this season for the Falcons, Jones is third in the NFL with a whopping 1,364 receiving yards during the 2017 campaign. He also has 83 catches but has only managed to haul in three touchdown receptions this year from star quarterback Matt Ryan.
