The Atlanta Falcons are in a serious bind of uncertainty at 1-6 going into the halfway point of the season. They're starved for answers and are scrambling to get everything back on track. A lot of their leaders on the team are stepping up to assist in uplifting the team to play better, including the never outspoken wide receiver Julio Jones.

After the team's last loss, he stood up and gave support to his head coach Dan Quinn. He continues to speak up as the team looks to turn things around before their week eight matchup against the Seattle Seahawks.

“It’s just one of those things; it’s just a team thing, that’s all it is. Guys look up at me, look toward me in those situations. We’re just trying to figure out things. That’s all it was,” Jones said per Vaughn McClure of ESPN.

Jones' leadership and willingness to provide support and not allow the blame game to happen in the locker room is something that was talked about by Quinn later in the week.

“There are some guys who may just be a leader on the offense. Well, he is a leader on this football team. When you talk about the connecting of everybody, he is right there in the middle, front and center of that. Sometimes that leadership gets pushed to the quarterback, and certainly our team it does with Matt Ryan, but there are other players who have this connection with the entire team. None of them does it stronger than No. 11.”

Jones continues to be a model of what a receiver and a professional player should be. And it shows why with acts like this.
