The Atlanta Falcons are pretty banged up right now but the expectation is that safeties Keanu Neal and Ricardo Allen will be back for training camp. Neal suffered a torn ACL early in the season while Allen reported his Achilles in a game against the New Orleans Saints.

These two guys are the leaders of the back end of the secondary and both of the guys being out for most of the season was a big reason the Falcons ranked 25th in scoring defense and 27th against the pass.

“Keke and Rico both are really pushing it from a rehab and competitive side,” Quinn said via the Associated Press. “Big shocker. Two of our most competitive guys. They are really determined and detailed and they're off to excellent starts with their process.”

The goal is training camp for the two guys and as long as they don't have any setbacks Quinn thinks that is a good goal.

“If they continue to hit the markers that they are, I think that would be more than realistic,” Quinn said.

On the offensive side, the Falcons are also expected to get Devonta Freeman back by the beginning of training camp which is going to be a huge boost for the offense. The Falcons lost Tevin Coleman to free agency which means there is going to be more weight on Freeman's shoulder.

The Falcons expectations are high again this season so it's important the team gets these guys back, and also keep them healthy through the season.
