On Sunday, the Atlanta Falcons fell to 1-4 with their 53-32 loss to the Houston Texans. Their quarterback, Matt Ryan — who threw for 33o yards, three touchdowns, and an interception — isn't going to sugarcoat where his team is at.

We just haven't played well,” Ryan said after the loss, via D. Orlando Ledbetter of the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. The quarterback added that Monday will begin where they start diffing themselves out of their man-made hole.

“To sit here five games in and be 1-4 is difficult,” said Ryan. “For sure not what we wanted coming into it, but we are going to have to be the ones that dig ourselves out of it. And I think that when you're in situations like this, I always felt like you've got to make the big things little. And we've got to chip away at it tomorrow and make sure when we get back to work tomorrow we evaluate what we looked at today and we are the most honest and we have the best session of the year that we've had on a Monday.”

The Falcons have now lost three straight since defeating the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2 on “Sunday Night Football.” Luckily, their next opponent, the 1-4 Arizona Cardinals, aren't the most formidable foe; even though the Falcons will play in the desert. However, it is, by all means, a must-win contest.

If the Falcons drop the Cardinals game, there may be plenty of change coming to the peach state, including, to head coach Dan Quinn — who is on the presumed hot seat.
