The NFC South got a lot better at the quarterback position this offseason, but that hasn't deterred Matt Ryan's confidence in himself. Ahead of his 13th season in the NFL, the Atlanta Falcons veteran revealed that he believes he is the best quarterback in the NFC South.

When asked who he believes is the best quarterback in the division, during an appearance on Barstool Sports' Pardon My Take, Ryan didn't hesitate to utter his own name.

It was an active offseason for the teams in the NFC South, with the biggest move coming in the form of Tom Brady joining the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Besides Brady, the other quarterback change to happen in the division was Teddy Bridgewater replacing Cam Newton on the Carolina Panthers.

Of course, Drew Brees is still with the New Orleans Saints, and even though he showed signs of decline last season he remains one of the league's better passers. Nevertheless, while most would say Brees or Brady are still the better quarterbacks, the Falcons' offensive captain has a decent resume himself.

Even amid Atlanta's struggles a season ago, Ryan still managed to finish with 4,466 yards, 26 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. It was the ninth consecutive season that Ryan contributed 4,000-plus passing yards and over 20 passing touchdowns for the Falcons.

There's no doubt that the NFC South is shaping up to be one of the most competitive divisions in the NFL in 2020. Therefore, it could come down to which team's quarterback performs the best. While most fans and the media alike would bet on Brady or Brees, Ryan is betting on himself.
