Michael Vick has come a long way. Once one of the brightest stars of the NFL, the ex-Falcons star gained infamy in due to his arrest and unpaid loans. Over the last few years, though, it seemed like Vick has finally cleaned up his act.

That is, until recently. The Miami Herald recently reported that Michael Vick has been sued by creditors for his unpaid loans from 2018. The group is reportedly seeking a payment of $1.2 million from the ex-Falcons star's family for these loans.

This isn't the first time that the former Falcons star quarterback found himself in financial trouble. Vick has been involved in many issues surrounding these unpaid loans. Despite making more money than almost everyone in the United States, Vick has taken a lot of loans, and most importantly, failed to pay off these loans.

Prior to this lawsuit, Vick has had a rather eventful 2022. The ex-Falcons QB announced his return to professional play in the Fan Controlled Football league earlier this year. Vick has also found some success as an NFL media personality as of late.

Vick did not respond to the Miami Herald's questions surrounding the topic. However, the ex-Falcons star's lawyer Arthur Jones released a statement regarding this matter.

“Michael Vick takes these matters seriously and is aware of the proceedings and will be sure that all parties who are entitled to receive payment will be paid,” he said. “However, usurious calculations which produce absurd results should not be countenanced by the courts of Florida. Therefore, all appropriate defenses will certainly be utilized. Further comment on any shenanigans which lead to situations like this may be made available at a later date.”
