There are question marks, mostly pertaining to his knee, surrounding Todd Gurley as he enters his first season with the Atlanta Falcons. Despite the concerns, Gurley is drawing rave reviews from multiple sources as the Falcons conducted their final scrimmage before the 2020 season.

On Friday, Atlanta held a team scrimmage to get them prepared for the upcoming season. According to Will McFadden of the team's official site, Gurley looked like the Gurley of old in his first game-like action. McFadden exclaimed there were multiple instances where Gurley flashed his speed and agility.

If McFadden's word wasn't enough, ESPN's Vaughn McClure shared the same sentiment. McClure shared that the All-Pro running back made the most of his limited touches in the scrimmage.

Earlier this offseason, Gurley was released by the Los Angeles Rams after struggling in 2019. After battling a knee injury in 2018, Gurley responded with a career-low 857 rushing yards on 223 rushing attempts.

It was revealed after the 2018 season that the new Falcons rusher was dealing with an arthritic component in his knee. Therefore, there could be long-term concerns for the dynamic running back.

Even Dirk Koetter, the offensive coordinator of the Falcons, we won't know how healthy he is until the season begins. Nevertheless, Atlanta hopes that Gurley can handle a somewhat heavy workload following the departure of Devonta Freeman.

Of course, fans shouldn't make too much of what is going on in training camps. Though, seeing the positive reviews he's getting from local media on Friday, we could see Gurley return to his dominant form in 2020.
