Todd Gurley's departure from the Los Angeles Rams was quick and vicious, and everyone is still trying to make sense of Gurley settling in with the Atlanta Falcons. However, he has to clear the air yet again after is been revealed that his physical with his new team is virtually nonexistent.

Gary Klein of The Los Angeles Times wrote about the running back's take on the issue, but the 25-year-old quickly brushed off these concerns. He said that his performance in his final season with the Rams is more than enough proof of his bill of health for the Falcons.

“I was able to still finish out the season strong,” Todd Gurley said on concerns about his condition. “Played in 15 out of 16 games. I’m pretty sure they’re not worried about it as much as I’m not worried about it.”

Gurley was a productive contributor for the Rams during his final year with the team. He finished with 857 rushing yards and 12 rushing touchdowns to go with 207 receiving yards and two receiving TDs. While these numbers are definitely solid, they were far from the production he had during the prior two seasons that saw him get First-Team All-Pro honors.

He also revealed that he was immediately trying to get signed with the Falcons the moment he was cut.

“Julio came over to the house as soon as I got cut by the Rams, so we chopped it up and I was telling him how I was trying to get there,” said Gurley, who agreed to terms on a one-year, $5.5-million contract with the Atlanta team.

The move is understandable as he played college football in Georgia. If everything works out and Gurley returns to shape, then the Falcons have a shot at making a deep playoff run.
