Fall Guys for Xbox and Nintendo Switch will be delayed, Mediatonic announced. However, the developers also revealed that the game will soon also get cross-platform play.

Fall Guys Release Date for Xbox and Nintendo Switch Delayed

The Fall Guys release date for both Xbox and Nintendo Switch originally had a release date of Summer 2021. However, Mediatonic, the developers of the game, says that this release window comes “too soon” for them. According to a blog post by Mediatonic, the new features they want to bring along the Xbox and Nintendo Switch releases will take more time to develop. But as a form of consolation, the devs also revealed that they will be including cross-play in the game's new features. This will allow players to experience Fall Guys with their friends regardless of the platform.

Mediatonic revealed that their acquisition by Epic Games introduced new tools for them to play around with. Hence, the devs decided to put off the release date and add even more features than they originally planned. The blog post reads:

“There's a bunch of additions and features we've long felt could elevate our beans to the next level that just haven't been possible… yet! Top of our ‘want' list has been crossplay.”
