It's safe to say it's been an extremely underwhelming season for Tottenham. After failing to qualify for the Champions League, they settled for Europa, but that hasn't worked out either.  Spurs took a 2-0 lead into the second leg of their Round of 16 tie with Dinamo Zagreb on Thursday and completely blew it, losing 3-0 and crashing out of the competition. Worst part? Zagreb's coach just resigned two days ago after being sentenced to four years in prison due to fraud.

Striker Mislav Orsic bagged a hat-trick for the Croatian outfit, including a winner in extra time to send his side through to the quarterfinals. For Tottenham boss Jose Mourinho, whose been on the hot seat lately, things couldn't be any worse.

The Portuguese gaffer hasn't necessarily had the best tenure in North London, with Spurs currently 8th in the Premier League table and a whole six points off Chelsea for a top-four spot.

It's hard to blame everything on the manager, but clearly, something isn't working. Tottenham had their fair share of chances in this fixture as well, but Dinamo keeper Dominik Livakovic made several tremendous saves to keep his side in the tie.

Spurs also tasted defeat against Arsenal last weekend as they now look ahead to a clash with Aston Villa on Sunday.

It seems inevitable that Mourinho's job could be short-lived, especially considering how fans are feeling about him.

It's going to be interesting to see what Daniel Levy and the Tottenham board do next, but it looks as Jose Mourinho could be packing his bags sooner rather than later after such an atrocious performance.
