After a Week 3 win over the Denver Broncos, Davante Adams was unhappy with his four-catch, 56-yard performance. Aaron Rodgers made sure to target him against the Philadelphia Eagles. Adams finished with 10 catches on 15 targets for 180 yards. Adams left the game in the fourth quarter with a toe injury and did not return. The Green Bay Packers will likely be without their No. 1 receiver in Week 5, which could make a big impact on the Fantasy Football scene.

It is next man up in Green Bay. That next man is Marquez Valdes-Scantling. He finished with three catches for 47 yards against the Eagles.

Rodgers did not look many places other than Adams in this game, but he will have to find a new favorite target for Sunday. Valdes-Scantling finished with six catches for 99 yards and a touchdown against the Broncos. Green Bay will need that kind of production from their second-year receiver as they get set to take on the Dallas Cowboys.

Valdes-Scantling Is a Fantasy Football Must-Start in Week 5

Valdes-Scantling has just 16 catches on the season, but is averaging 13.6 yards per reception. Rodgers was looking to Adams and tight end Jimmy Graham against the Eagles, but with Adams out, Valdes-Scantling is their best receiver.

The Cowboys are not a favorable matchup. They are strong on defense, but the Packers will be throwing the ball. Rodgers likes to get the ball out quick and throw towards the sidelines. Valdes-Scantling is the perfect receiver to target for those types of plays. Rodgers has had success against the Cowboys in the past.

The injury to Adams is believed to be minor, but it will still force him to miss a week or two of action. This is a big loss for Green Bay. The loss of Adams' impacted them down the stretch of the Eagles' game when he was not on the field at the goal line. The Packers could not get in the end zone and the game ended with a tipped ball interception.

Rodgers will need a go-to receiver. Expect Graham to be targeted in the red zone and Valdes-Scantling to be targeted outside the numbers. In PPR formats, this is an absolute must-start. Because of his upside, Valdes-Scantling can be started in any format. He has the ability to get behind the defense and score a long touchdown.

Valdes-Scantling will be the most targeted receiver until Adams returns.
