It's hard not to like the Fantasy Football potential of Oakland Raiders running back Josh Jacobs heading into Week 7.

The Raiders will be facing the Green Bay Packers on Sunday, and while the Packers' defense was the talk of the town over the first couple of weeks of the season, it has come crashing back down to earth since.

Green Bay's defense now ranks just 21st in the NFL in yards allowed, and when it comes to the ground game, the Packers have been particularly porous, as they are surrendering 124.5 rushing yards per game, which ranks 23rd.

Enter Jacobs, who is enjoying a terrific rookie campaign and is coming off of an incredible Week 6 performance in which he gashed the typically stingy Chicago Bears defense for 123 yards and a couple of touchdowns in London.

If Jacobs is able to do that to the Bears, arguably the best defense in the NFC, what can he do to the Packers, whose defense has fallen off a cliff over the past several weeks?

On the season overall, Jacobs has totaled 430 yards and four scores while averaging a robust 4.9 yards per carry, which is probably more than anyone expected from the rookie halfback.

He hasn't been too much of a weapon through the air, logging six catches for 77 yards, but he has been very efficient as a rusher.

As a matter of fact, since Week 1 when Jacobs averaged 3.7 yards per carry, the 21-year-old has registered at least 4.4 yards per attempt over his next four outings, including an 8.3 yards per carry day back in Week 2.

The Packers were scorched on the ground by the Philadelphia Eagles a few weeks ago, an Eagles team that doesn't really have an elite running back in its backfield.

If Philadelphia can do that to Green Bay, Jacobs could be in for a field day this weekend.

Of course, nothing is guaranteed, but given that the Packers are giving up 4.9 yards per carry and have permitted seven rushing scores on the season, there seems to be a strong possibility that Jacobs will have a big performance in Week 7.

At the very least, Raiders head coach Jon Gruden will likely give Jacobs a lot of touches, as he obviously knows about Green Bay's shoddy run defense just as much as any of us do.

If you have Josh Jacobs on your Fantasy team, this Sunday would be as good a time as ever to start him.
