The Jacksonville Jaguars are off to a slow 1-2 start to the 2019 season. Running back Leonard Fournette is right there with them… so what does this mean for fantasy football?

Through three games, Fournette has just 179 rushing yards and no touchdowns, fumbling once.

Those struggles have led to his fantasy stock dropping pretty drastically. Although he's had issues in his career so far, Fournette was still regarded as a solid fantasy player and someone that people most-likely took pretty early on in drafts.

No, he wasn't a first-round pick. You weren't going to get him if you waited too long though. Let's put it this way. If you drafted Fournette, you likely took him with the idea that he was one of your starting running backs.

However, just three weeks into the year, you might be wondering if that's still the case. So do you start Fournette or sit him in Week 4 against the Denver Broncos?

The Broncos don't really help us figure this out. They're right in the middle of the pack, 15th in the NFL in rushing yards allowed per game (109.3).

However, it's an 0-3 team with quite a few issues. The Jaguars could take advantage of that and get themselves ahead early. Once that happens, it would be smart of them to run the ball often. That means Fournette should get a lot of runs.

More importantly though, he hasn't simply been a runner this year. Fournette also has 14 receptions for 94 yards. If you're in a PPR league, that makes his running totals a lot nicer suddenly.

Instead of averaging under six points per game, Fournette's up around 13 points per game. That's a pretty significant jump.

So Fournette's not nearly as helpless to a fantasy team as his rushing numbers might suggest.

Even those numbers, there are some positives. The 4.2 yards per carry isn't a bad number and he hasn't been overtaxed yet, not seeing more than 15 carries in a game.

Not everything is a positive though. The one fumble compared to zero touchdowns is very discouraging.

Meanwhile, in his Week 3 game, Fournette had 69 yards on one run and -3 on the other 14 combined.

Then again, that doesn't really matter in fantasy. It's all about the final number, it doesn't matter how he gets there.

So what's this all mean? He's a streaky player but usually ends up getting a semi-decent amount of fantasy points. This week he's going up against a team that hasn't been great against the run and is 0-3 on the year.

It's not time to give up on Fournette just yet. Unless you have some studs ahead of him, Fournette should still be in your fantasy football lineup in Week 4.
