The Green Bay Packers brought in a new head coach in Matt LaFleur this offseason. With that, comes a new offensive system – that's something quarterback Aaron Rodgers doesn't deal with often.

While Rodgers is always going to be one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, you have to wonder if this will affect how his stats look at the end of the season. Will they improve off last season? Or will he see his consistency dip as he tries to figure out the new system?

What exactly should you expect in fantasy football from Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers in a new offensive system?

For most quarterbacks, switching systems would see a major difference in their stats. However, Aaron Rodgers isn't a normal quarterback.

Last season was a bad year for Rodgers by his own standards. The quarterback threw for 4,442 yards and 25 touchdowns (compared to just two interceptions). Those numbers seem incredible right?

4,442 yards is actually his second-most ever in a season. However, his 62.3 completion percentage was the lowest he'd seen since 2015 and his second lowest ever as a starter.

The 25 touchdowns meanwhile were the least he'd thrown in a season where he played in at least 10 games.

A lot of that could have to do with the fact that Rodgers was sacked 49 times (third most he's ever had).

This offseason, the Green Bay Packers decided to make a change at head coach – leaving behind Mike McCarthy and bringing in Matt LaFleur.

What you have to consider when it comes to this is how different the new system will be. Something you have to remember when it comes to that is the question mark they have at running back. Aaron Jones has flashed a lot of potential at the position, but not enough for Green Bay to have an offense centered around the running game.

Matt LaFleur, Packers

LaFleur is a quarterback coach. Therefore, the styles probably won't “clash” in a bad way. He'll want the game to be run through Rodgers – just like Rodgers would want. He might want to stay away from the QB runs (he was in Washington with Robert Griffin III and in Tennessee with Marcus Mariota) so he knows how an injury can derail a season – or even career.

That being said, Rodgers isn't exactly taking off every chance he gets. The QB had 43 carries last year for 269 yards and two touchdowns.

Therefore, the big difference here is that LaFleur will likely have a more open offense compared to McCarthy. That should lead to Rodgers getting tons of pass attempts again, and going for the end zone pretty often. Although replicating just two interceptions will be hard, expect an uptick in touchdown passes as well.

If anything this should just revert Rodgers back to being an elite fantasy quarterback. 35-plus touchdown passes could be in the future, with 4,500-plus yards being reached for just the second time in his career.

Aaron Rodgers has been one of the best fantasy football quarterbacks his entire career. A Changing of the guard at head coach for the Green Bay Packers might shake up the system, but it shouldn't hurt his value.

If anything, we'll see Rodgers return to his past glory.
