Prior to last week, Cooper Kupp was a fantasy football star who was showing no signs of slowing down. That was until he ran into the San Francisco 49ers, scoring a mere 5.7 fantasy points in Week 6.

After having a disappointing outing on Sunday, Kupp will rebound with a massive performance against the Atlanta Falcons. In recent weeks, Atlanta's defense has made every offense look unstoppable through the air. That bodes well for the slot receiver for the Rams.

Even with the lackadaisical performance in Week 6, Kupp still stands as the third highest-scoring receiver in fantasy football. The only wide receivers ahead of him are Chris Godwin and Michael Thomas.

Following his recovery from a torn ACL in 2018, Kupp has become Jared Goff's No. 1 option in the aerial attack. As a result, Kupp leads the team with 45 receptions, 522 yards, and four touchdowns. Above all, his 69 targets in Los Angeles leads the NFL.

When looking for a wide receiver to start in fantasy football, it's all about the floor and ceiling that the player provides. For Kupp, his floor is pretty high with the volume he gets and he is always capable of scoring 25 or more points.

As a matter of fact, from Weeks 2-5, Kupp managed to finish with 26 or more points in each game. Now, he'll get a chance to carve up a Falcons defense that has been reeling over the course of the season.

With Dan Quinn now calling the defense this season, Atlanta has steadily declined on the defensive side of the ball. In just the past two games, the Falcons hapless defense has surrendered 87 points to their opponents.

Additionally, they have allowed a whopping 776 passing yards, eight touchdowns, and have failed to record an interception. For a Rams offense that is desperate to get back on track, they've come upon the perfect opponent in Week 7.

Altogether, the Falcons defense has given up 83 receptions (27th in NFL), 1,182 yards (29th in NFL), and 10 touchdowns (31st in NFL) to wide receivers this season. Taking these numbers into consideration, Kupp and company are about to feast on Sunday.

To make matters worse, Desmond Trufant, Ricardo Allen, and Blidi Wreh-Wilson are all in jeopardy of missing Sunday's game. Among them, Trufant, Atlanta's best corner. has already been ruled out for Week 7.

It would not come as a surprise if Kupp manages to have a game where he corrals nine passes for 150 yards and a touchdown in Week 7. Along with Cooper Kupp, both Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks should be in your starting lineups as well.
