EA Sports has finally given more details on the upcoming FIFA 22. It will be launching on October 1 for all current-gen platforms: PlayStation5, and Xbox Series X|S. It will also be available on last-gen consoles, the Xbox One and PlayStation 4. On PC, it can be acquired through Steam and Origin. A Stadia version will also be available.

FIFA 22 details and features:

The game's cover star is Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappé, reprising the role from last year. Only Lionel Messi and Christiano Ronaldo have been consecutive-year cover stars for FIFA in the past. Mbappé said the following regarding being chosen as the cover: “Being on back-to-back FIFA covers is amazing. I have a very special relationship with the game and look forward to enjoying FIFA 22 alongside all of you.”

Alongside these details, a new trailer has also released. It introduces HyperMotion – “groundbreaking new gameplay technology“. According to the official website, it allowed EA to perform advanced 11 vs. 11 match capture for the first time. HyperMotion also employs a “cutting-edge proprietary machine-learning algorithm” to increase the realism in the game's animations. A new Tactical A.I. suite has also been implemented to improve the gameplay. However, HyperMotion will only be available on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Stadia.

FIFA 22 will feature Career, Volta, Pro Clubs, and FIFA Ultimate Team modes. The game boasts a 17,000 player and 700 team roster, with more than 90 stadiums and 30 leagues.
