Reigning WBC interim heavyweight titleholder Dillian White seems to have a confident protege in Croatian Alen Babic. The orthodox boxer claimed some big promises ahead of his fight against American fighter Shawndell Winters.

“If I lost to Shawndell Winters, I’d quit boxing,” Babic claimed.

The undefeated boxer outright claimed that he is in the best shape of his career. He also promised a knock-out on Winters and that a loss is out of sight for him.

Alen Babic set the record straight that the match will not reach the length of 8 rounds:

“No, no way. If I need to go (eight rounds), I sparred with Dillian. Last day, I did eight rounds. Most of the work I did eight rounds with Dillian,” he added.

“So it’s okay for me, I can go. But there is no way because he has a 90% knockout ratio, I have 100%.”

Alen Babic had impressive starts to his boxing career. He performed a TKO against Lazar Stojanovic on his debut match back in July 2019. Nine days after his first victory, he went on to knock out Morgan Dessaux in his first match in the United Kingdom. Another KO finish was witnessed when he was pitted against Ramazi Gogichashvili in Milan, Italy.

On the other hand, Shawndell Winters is already a seasoned vet in the pro boxing ranks. He was able to notch a total of 13 wins, 7 of which were TKOs. However, the 39-year old suffered three career losses in the hands of Brian Howard, Nikodem Jezewski, and Joseph Parker, thus far.

Fireworks are expected ahead of the fight as Babic will be raring to pull off a strong finish against the veteran Winters to protect his unblemished record.
