New Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman delivered a heartfelt message during his press conference to become the next head coach.

At the Notre Dame press conference, Freeman had this to say,

“To my kids… you didn't ask to share your dad but you have to and I love you. To Father Jenkins… thank you for believing in a 35[year old] first-time head coach, and I vow to work tirelessly to never disappoint you.”

This was the right hiring by Notre Dame as it seems that everybody in the organization wanted Marcus Freeman to be the next head coach. Almost every single recruit in the incoming Freshman Class took to Twitter to show who they wanted to be their next head coach, and that was coach Freeman.

It's going to be a tough job for Freeman as he's only 35 years old and doesn't have any head coaching experience. Coaching at Notre Dame is never an easy task as they play one of the best schedules in the entire country and anything short of a national championship is a disappointment for the Irish.

Notre Dame is having an impressive season as they are 11-1 on the year and finished fifth in the country. They have a tough bowl game on January 1st as they will take on the Oklahoma State Cowboys in the PlayStation Fiesta Bowl.

Coach Freeman seems like the perfect man for the job and Notre Dame did an excellent job hiring who the players and alumni wanted.
