Final Fantasy First Soldier will be released globally this Wednesday, November 17, 2021, on Android and iOS.

The Final Fantasy VII spin-off battle royale game was announced by SQUARE ENIX through a tweet, saying:

“FINAL FANTASY VII THE FIRST SOLDIER will officially be released globally on November 17 (Wed.)!

Final Fantasy First Soldier went through closed beta testing over the past few months. After a few months of beta testing, the game has since entered the pre-registration phase. Pre-registration has since hit more than 2 million registrants, according to a report by Gamer. This unlocked some cool Shinra-themed cosmetics for all pre-registrants to enjoy.

Meanwhile, early impressions about the game have not been widespread yet. In spite of the strong pre-registration numbers for the game, there hasn't been a lot of clamor and hype about Final Fantasy First Soldier yet. Gameplay videos of the game are being posted on the regular by SQUARE ENIX on the Final Fantasy First Soldier Twitter account. There is also an ongoing social media campaign for the game, giving players some things to look forward to. We'll find out more when the game comes out real soon.
