Aside from the two new jobs looking very slick indeed, with Sage having extremely flashy animations and Reaper having some interesting teleportation mechanics alongside a voidsent familiar, the biggest change to the existing jobs probably came to Summoner. No longer will they be damage-over-time-centric, and they will actually be summoning the actual primals instead of just their egi forms. It's almost an entire job rework, which is a welcome change as the job has struggled with its identity for a while now. Additionally, the changes to Bard's kit – with their songs finally granting a new action that gives party-wide effects, finally makes them feel more like a true support-oriented bard instead of just an archer with some extra steps. As seen in the Endwalker Job Action Trailer, Monk and Ninja will also be getting extensions to their kit that imbue their attacks depending on their previously used skills.

Though it might not be apparent in the Endwalker Job Action Trailer, a big change to melees was also detailed in the Live Letter itself – melee and tank combos will no longer be broken by ranged attacks, giving them all a bit of leeway when it comes to respecting mechanics. The current changes to the Final Fantasy XIV jobs seem interesting, and if you've been on the fence about trying the game for a while, you can check out our guide to joining the Free Trial here.
