Top NBA prospect Paolo Banchero and his Duke Blue Devils saw their season come crashing down on Saturday night following their heartbreaking defeat to North Carolina, 81-77. After the game, most of Duke's players headed straight to the locker room without even congratulating their opponents.

Here's a clip of the sad scenes at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans. Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski can be seen shaking hands with the UNC players, but his own team was already well on their way to the locker room (h/t Barstool Sports on Twitter):

In the clip above, it's only Coach K, third-year forward Wendell Moore Jr., and a few of Duke's coaching staff who were seen shaking hands with the North Carolina players. These two teams have a long-standing rivalry, and it appears that most of the Blue Devils were not in the mood for postgame pleasantries.

This matchup turned out to be the final game of coach Mike Krzyzewski's illustrious 42-year career. It was not exactly the fairy-tale ending most folks were hoping for, and I'm pretty sure he did not enjoy the sight of Banchero and his other players refusing to congratulate their opponents after the game.

North Carolina will now face Villanova in the final game of the tournament to decide the 2022 national champs.
